On 22/10/2023 we had a worship service to put hospital leaders to work and it was a happy and peaceful day, an important and memorable day as two Leaders Dr Furaha Kahindo – Doctor Incharge and Mr Justine Kataraia – Hospital Patron were officially put to work by Bishop Benson Bagonza, Head of the Lutheran Evangelical Church Diocese of Karagwe to lead the Hospital for this period. Reading the Document of the Diocese of Karagwe for the elected leaders of the Hospital, the General Secretary of the Diocese Rev. Jeremiah M Rugimbana said, according to the constitution of the Diocese of Karagwe, page 27, section 1.14.2.i there are tasks of the Central Council. Karagwe Diocese executive council number 142 held at Karagwe Hoteli Kayanga on 7/6/2023, in its agenda number HK/142/9 elected Dr. Furaha Darlene Kahindo who was acting as the Doctor Incharge to be the full Doctor Incharge. In addition, the Management of the Diocese of Karagwe on behalf of the Central Board of KKKT, the Diocese of Karagwe appointed Mr. Justine Kataraia as the new hospital nurse chief of Nyakahanga Hospital following the retirement of the former hospital nurse chief in that leadership position. After reading the document, Bishop Bagonza appointed the leaders one by one in their place. Bishop Bagonza prays to the God of Heaven not to fail and stand for them when they wake up, when they go in and out and wish them success in there new responsibilities. He also reminded them that being a leader has its costs, and most of them are very painful. He continued to say that when you lead, you lose your personal freedom, you will not dress as you like, you will not drink as you like, you will not eat wherever you like, you will not go anywhere as you like, you will take care of yourself instead of being taken care of, you will be gossiped about, but you do not have the right to gossip about others, you will be complained about, but you have no right or place to complain , those under you have the right to be warned but you don't have that right because one mistake leaves you. That’s what new leaders put to work were told. In the end, the families of our loved leaders had the opportunity to dress them with flowers and receive various gifts after their appointment. Also, guests and congregants who prepared gifts also got chance to give out their gifts to them.
