Today on 17.11.2023 we were lucky to have another good session about Respiration and Principles of Oxygen therapy. The session was led by our facilitator Mr. King Omben a nurse at Nyakahanga Hospital. After Mr. Omben's presentation, some of the staffs who attended the session had the opportunity to ask many questions and others to contribute about what they learned and listened and others to add their contribution as they understand on the principles of oxygen therapy and respiration. Thanks to our facilitator for this opportunity to have a sensitive and important session to the staffs of our Hospital. The thing to consider is that it is very important to observe and follow all the principles of respiration and oxygen therapy as it is required to be given to our patients, as the right way to provide a quality care service to our patients. Many things were talked and others presented but some of the things that he talked and emphasized were the three types of masks used to help the patient who can not breathe or when the patient can not breathe properly; which are Nasal cannula/Nasal prong, Oxygen mask simple and Non rebreathing mask. As the mostly three ways a health personnel can use when attending and helping the patient.
